What to do if the wrong Conax card does not connect the Telecard signal

Access card telecard TB

The brands “Continent-TB” and “Telekarta” belong to the CT operator “Orion-Express”. A feature of Orion-Express’s marketing policy is the absence of access cards for free sale. You can only buy such a card together with a receiver at official sales points. Moreover, the cards refer to recommended equipment. When activated, the access card is linked to the purchased receiver model.

In addition, each CT operator uses its own encoding. For HTB-Plus this is the encoding “Viaccess”, for Tricolor it is DRE, for MTC it is “Verimatrix”. The operator "Orion-Express" uses the colors "Conax" and "Irdeto". As a result, each user, if he intends to change the operator, must buy another set-top box.

Tricolor-TB, HTB-Plus and some other operators use receivers that can only connect to these operators. The user is not able to watch even available FTA channels from other satellites, since these set-top box models simply do not have the appropriate settings.

Subscribers of the operator "Orion-Express" are not deprived of the opportunity, if desired, to connect FTA channels that are broadcast by other satellites.

Telecard operator cards can be used on any other equipment, even if it has not been officially approved by the company. If it is technically capable of receiving Conax or Irdeto encodings, then users can receive PT signals.

Many users ask the question: is it worth buying the recommended equipment if you can buy an access card somewhere? It depends on what exactly you want to watch.

If you need the “Unlimited” channel package, then it is still better to purchase a recommended set-top box that supports the DVB-S2 standard. In this case, not all channels will be available with a third-party receiver. The “Standard” package on SD equipment will make it possible to watch the same number of channels (about 50), regardless of what equipment will be used. But when viewing the “Standard” package on recommended HD equipment, about a hundred channels will be available, and on third-party equipment – no more than 80.

Subscribers of the operator "Rainbow-TB" can replace their access card at a special offer. All you need to do is bring your previous operator’s card to the office, hand it in, and receive a “Telecard” operator card for a small additional fee.

Broadcast restoration

The Telekarta operator makes it possible to restore lost broadcasts in a simplified way. Previously, if the signal was lost for some reason, it could only be restored by calling the call center. Now there are other options. In particular, the “Broadcast Restoration” function. It can be activated either in your personal account or by calling: 8-800-100-10-47.

The “Broadcast Restore” function can be activated in your personal account or by calling.

It makes sense to try using this function in the following cases:

If all these conditions are met, then you can try to solve the problem yourself. This can be done very quickly, without waiting for a connection with an operator at the call center, and can be done at any time. Channel display usually begins within half an hour after all necessary manipulations have been completed.

If after this the channel display is not restored, you will have to call the support service. You won't be able to solve the problem on your own.

Checking the card

If the card is working, then you need to check the balance. “Conax” encoding works in any receiver and picks up about 80-90 channels.

If the message “No Signal” appears, what does it mean?

Both the TV itself and the set-top box can issue this message. If the TV outputs it, then perhaps the set-top box is receiving channels in normal mode, but there is no picture or sound. How to determine this?

Take the remote control from the receiver and press the “Menu” button. If nothing has changed, it means that the inscription is coming from the TV. If the menu appears, then the problem is in the receiver.

In the first case, for some reason the TV does not “see” the receiver connected to it. Check if the receiver is turned on. If yes, then check its connection directly to the TV. Also check whether the connection method you are using is displayed correctly in the TV settings.

The second option is that the inscription is given by the prefix. The simplest thing that is recommended in this case is to reboot the device. To do this, you need to disconnect it from the network, without turning it off on the remote control, then turn it on again. If nothing has changed, you need to check the settings. You also need to check the cable connection from the antenna to the receiver. The cable can be stripped and reconnected. If this does not help, then you need to inspect the antenna itself. Perhaps its setting has gone wrong, or the convector has stopped working.

Which Telecard access card to take – “Conax” or “Irdeto”

The Conax encoding is considered one of the most popular. Even former Raduga-TB subscribers can use a card with this encoding from the Telekarta operator.

If the receiver from Raduga-TB that you previously used is now not recognized by the Telekarta operator, this does not mean that it is not capable of accepting both encodings. And quite the opposite may be the case with the equipment from Raduga, which is officially recommended by Telekarta. Such equipment only accepts “Irdeto”. In particular, there are cases when a card with “Irdeto” encoding from Telekarta did not open encoded signals on the World Vision S517IR set-top box from Raduga, recommended by Telekarta.

Why doesn't TV Telecard show?

Satellite TV is one of the most reliable signal transmission technologies: you are not dependent on city cable networks or Internet connection failures. But still, sometimes it stops working. What to do in such cases? Of course, if finances allow and there is a proven master, it is better to call him. You can also call the operator's technical support number.

But most problems can be easily classified and fixed on your own. You can read about the most common problems due to which Telecard satellite TV may not show, and how to neutralize them, in this article.

How to decode

If the services are paid for, but the channels do not appear, you need to act depending on the reason for the encoding. Before decoding digital television channels on the MTS set-top box, you need to find out what signal encoding system is used. Most often these are Nagravision, Irdeto 2, Viaccess and Cryptoworks. You can also watch channels by setting up a satellite dish and receiver. But there are a number of paid channels that require decoding.

Antenna

Any system is equipped with protection against hacking. To gain access to the signal, a special key is used, which can be downloaded on the Internet. It is selected depending on which coding system is used. This can be found out from a special access card with tariff sets of television channels for a specific city. It is also available online and is inexpensive. Thanks to the card, you can open access to any channels you like.

The screen says “No Signal”

If there is a “No Signal” message on the Telecard, you need to understand whether the TV is giving this error (which may mean problems connecting to the set-top box/satellite receiver) or an error in the settings of the satellite receiver.

The easiest way to check is to take the receiver's remote control and call up the menu. If a menu appears on the TV screen, the problem is in the receiver settings. If the inscription remains, but the menu does not appear, the problem is in the TV (or it just so happens that the batteries in the remote control are dead).

Receiver problems

If the error is caused by the receiver, try rebooting it (this is a standard action in any unclear situation: remove the plug from the socket, wait thirty seconds and plug the plug back in).

If this option does not work, check the receiver settings: perhaps a technical failure has occurred and the receiver needs to be configured again, following the instructions from Telecard.

Rebooting didn't help, and are the settings normal? This means it’s time to inspect the coaxial cable connecting the antenna to the receiver: are there any places where the cable could fray/break, is it tightly connected to the necessary sockets, are the contacts oxidized.

The cable is intact, everything is connected and configured correctly, but the inscription still does not disappear? There is a high probability that the converter is malfunctioning, or the settings on the satellite dish have gone wrong, and to solve such problems it is better to call a qualified specialist.

Problems with TV

You called up the menu using the receiver's remote control, but it did not appear.

First, reboot the receiver. Inspect the connections and cables that connect the receiver and the TV: are they intact and are they plugged into the required sockets? Check the TV settings: whether it displays the signal from the required connector (on modern TVs you can switch signals from different sources; usually the “Input” button on the TV remote control is responsible for this).

Other problems

There are still possible reasons for the disruption of signal reception from the satellite. In 50% of cases, the cause of the lack of signal is the converter, or rather its failure. It is often impossible to determine if a converter is broken with the naked eye; this is precisely the problem. But for safety, it is better to have a spare converter that can always be installed in place of yours.

It is better to check the functionality of the converter before attempting to adjust or fully tune the antenna, because if the converter turns out to be inoperative, all attempts to adjust the antenna will be in vain. If you have a spare converter, simply remove the converter installed in the holder and install a new one, without the need to loosen the fixing nuts and knock down the antenna. If it is not possible to replace the converter without rotating the antenna, loosen the antenna and rotate it to replace the converter, and after replacing, expose it by eye, and then resort to smooth scanning of the horizontal and vertical planes.

Telecard - no channels shown, says no signal

It often happens, as in the saying - There is one thing written on the barn, I looked in, and there was firewood. What am I talking about? Yes, to the fact that not all satellite television users, when they see the inscription “No signal” on the TV screen, correctly perceive this information.

The message “No signal” can be displayed either by the TV itself or directly by the satellite receiver. If the TV gives it out, then most likely the satellite channels are working and showing, but we don’t see them.

- Do you see the gopher? - No... - I don’t see it either. And he is!

Let's first determine who owns the inscription - No signal.

We take the remote control from the satellite receiver and press the “MENU” button. If the batteries are in order and nothing has changed on the screen, then this inscription belongs to the TV; if the menu is displayed, then it belongs to the receiver.

The first option means that the TV “does not see” the satellite receiver connected to it. Ninety-nine percent, so the picture doesn't show. We provide visibility.

Check if the receiver is turned on? If it is turned on, then we check its connection to the TV, directly the connection contacts themselves. And also whether the selected connection method is displayed correctly in the TV settings.

I write about this in great detail in the article about setting up a satellite dish yourself, in the section

We remember that the TV is “obliged” to see the satellite receiver, regardless of whether a satellite dish is connected to it or not even at all.

The second option for the development of the situation, the message “No signal” on the TV screen is produced by the receiver itself.

Let's consider the possible reasons for the lack of signal in this case. Where to begin?

Unplug it from the socket without turning it off using the remote control. After a minute, connect to the network. If it still doesn’t show anything, we move on and look for a solution to the problem.

Perhaps someone has messed up the receiver settings?

The coaxial cable running from the satellite dish to the receiver is damaged or broken. or has poor contact.

Check the cable leading from the antenna to the receiver. Strip the cable and screw on the connector again; the contacts may have oxidized.

Finding the reason for the lack of signal in your equipment

The first step is to test the cable from the receiver to the converter. It is necessary to make sure that there are no breaks, also the F-connectors must have a tight twist along the thread, and the core of the coaxial cable has a protrusion on the F-connector of 0.5 cm. If all connections are good and the cable has no breaks, this is checked using a tester , you can safely move on to the next step. If a break is found, the cable must be completely replaced from the receiver to the antenna (you should not resort to “twists” - this can lower the signal level, and if the cable from the converter to the receiver is long, it may even interfere with stable viewing of channels). If it is not possible to replace the entire cable, you can get by with a connector - for this you will need one connector and two additional F-connectors that screw onto the connector.

  • When using a connector - Cut the cable at the break point, peel it from the braid and screw on the F-connector, exactly the same as at the ends of the connection between the receiver and the converter, then tightly screw the F-connectors onto the connector and wrap the connector and connectors tightly with electrical tape to protect against moisture (if the break occurred in an open section of the cable - outside a window, on a street wall.
  • It is worth noting that a precaution against the possibility of a break would be to leave a supply of cable, which is collected in a skein near the antenna and secured with a tie to the mount; this will make it possible to cut off the required section in the event of a break and compensate for it with a supply, or run the cable again.

If the cable is intact and there are no problems with it, the next thing you should check is the receiver. The most reliable way to check is to test the receiver from another tuned antenna. Here again, relatives or friends can help. Connect the receiver to a 100% working antenna (one that works with another receiver and has a signal on the other receiver). If there is a signal on your receiver from another antenna, then the tuner and the receiver itself are working normally and the reason lies in your antenna (converter, antenna setting). If suddenly there is no signal even when connecting to another antenna, we can say with almost one hundred percent certainty that the problem has been found and the receiver is not working.

  • If the problem is in the receiver, the tuner, which is responsible for receiving the signal, has probably failed. In this case, your receiver needs to be taken to a service center to identify the malfunction and repair, if possible.

I paid for the Telecard but the channels are not showing

Attention! If the “Info channel” does not show, this means that there is no signal coming from the antenna, or the satellite receiver itself is configured incorrectly. I have already written above what to do in this case.

In the receiver settings, you can find a section with information on the access card, and see whether it sees it or not. The easiest way to find out whether the card is installed correctly is to pull it out, and without taking your eyes off the TV display, insert it back in and see what information the receiver gives us.

If the card is inserted incorrectly, it will report an error to us. If true, it will display information about the encoding. Was this the problem? Everything is fixed, great. Or does it still show nothing? Not good, let's move on.

Or call your operator's technical support. Telecard has it for free - 8-800-100-104-7. Be prepared to tell the operator your access card number. However, the system offers to do everything independently, and without communication with the operator. You just need to listen carefully to the answering machine and press the suggested numbers on the phone.

What we checked and did in the end:

The signal is received by the receiver, we are convinced of this; - open TV channels (those that are not encrypted without a dollar sign) are shown; — the receiver sees the card; — there is money in the account; — the receiver was rebooted (not turning it off with the remote control, but unplugging it from the socket, turning it on a minute later and waiting 10-15 minutes).

But the Telecard still doesn’t show it. This cannot be - I am telling you this as a doctor. Check everything point by point again.

Antenna problems

Often, after carrying out the above steps, it turns out that the receiver and cable are normal and work without problems, which means that the problem with the signal arose due to the lack of it from the antenna. There are not many options here, the most popular of which are:

  • The antenna is out of alignment - Under the influence of wind, snow from the roof, possibly poorly tightened bolts and other reasons, the antenna may move by one or two, sometimes more degrees in the horizontal or vertical plane, which means the signal from the satellite will not be in the focus of the antenna and, accordingly, will be reflected to the converter and go to the receiver. To adjust the antenna in this case, you need to: Check the tightness of the fixing nuts; if they are tight, move on to the second part; if one of them is not tightened too much or is completely loose, you should try to adjust the antenna.

Antenna adjustment

It is not difficult to adjust the antenna, because it is already almost pointed at the satellite and a slight deviation in the desired direction will have an effect. Ask someone at home to watch the signal on the TV (to do this, you can find the signal strength and quality levels in the receiver settings), and then apply gentle pressure on each of the four sides of the antenna to bend the mirror and hold it in this position for 5-10 seconds. At one point, when the mirror is bent in the desired direction, a signal will appear and the scales will reflect its strength and quality, this will be a signal for the need to adjust the antenna in the desired direction. Then it is necessary to loosen the fixing nuts responsible for fixing the desired (horizontal and vertical) position of the antenna and make a slight adjustment in the desired direction until the maximum signal level is reached on the scale.

If the antenna is moved far enough away from the desired direction, resort to a full satellite antenna adjustment by scanning the horizon or contact an installer.

Method for troubleshooting satellite reception.

Installation, exchange and repair of Tricolor TV. Home Prices Promotions Geography. What to do if the receiver does not show? No signal. First of all, you need to make sure that the video signal from the receiver is output to the TV, and that the receiver itself is turned on. When you press the “menu” button on the receiver’s remote control, the “Main Menu” of the satellite receiver should appear on the TV screen. This will guarantee that you did not accidentally switch the TV to some other video input and the receiver is working, and the message about no signal is a message from the receiver. Approximately once a quarter, satellite television providers carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of transmission equipment, with the removal of broadcasting. Most often, these works are carried out before 10 a.m., occasionally before

Carrying out preventive maintenance by the operator.

Prevention is caused by the need to check equipment, software and eliminate detected problems. Operators carry out this regularly, turning off channels. Your favorite programs will return to the screen after the maintenance work is completed; no independent steps are required. You can find out about prevention by going to the operator’s website.

Click on your operator's logo and check
their maintenance
. If it's not about prevention, the following are important factors to consider:

Weather

. Heavy snowfalls, rains, and thunderstorms are accompanied by a dense accumulation of clouds that impede the passage of the signal. Hail, lightning strikes, and heavy snow introduce additional interference. The signal will return as the weather improves.

Solar interference

. The phenomenon lasts for a short time, channels will appear after it ends.

Obstacles appearing

on the signal path. Houses that have been built, trees that have grown, and tall special equipment that has arrived can block and greatly weaken electromagnetic waves - and it will be impossible to watch TV. The solution is to remove the obstacle (remove interfering branches, wait for the equipment to leave) or move the satellite dish. Obstacles are determined by looking at the sun at thirteen o'clock in the afternoon: the imaginary segment from the plate to the sun must be free:

Why don't they show free channels on Telekart?

Sometimes clients call me and tell me that they don’t show free channels on their Telecard. They say something like this: We have a Telecard in our dacha, we don’t need a lot of channels, we don’t have time to watch, we didn’t pay money, we don’t show free channels, everything is turned off.

The fact is that at the time of publication of the article, Telecard does not have anything free. There are a certain number of FTA channels on the satellite that are not encoded and are freely available. They show you without money and without an access card.

But as a rule, clients conduct conversations for the main federal ones - “Channel One”, “Russia 1”, “NTV”, etc.

Previously, when the money in the account ran out, they really didn’t turn it off for six months.

Some will say this is a violation of the law. Absolutely not, on the page with the list of channels, the Telecard has the following written at the bottom:

* The indicated number of channels may not coincide with the number of media (TV channels and TV programs) included in the corresponding package. In accordance with the Public Offer, the broadcast of mandatory public TV channels is carried out without charging subscribers for the right to watch. Mandatory public access TV channels are broadcast as part of their respective Basic TV channel packages.

You can call technical support and be indignant at why they turned off the mandatory public TV channels, they should be available without a subscription fee.

The answer will be something like this. They will tell you that there really is no charge for them, but please pay the money for the operator’s communication services. Only 50 rubles per month (600 per year), and watch public TV channels for free without a subscription fee for the same “Standard” package (1,200 rubles per year).

Other operators did the same. Well, that is, that is - The money in the account has run out, only FTA channels are shown.

Telecard does not show some channels

Let's look at this situation.

Let's say Channel One showed it and stopped showing it, what happened?

Sometimes satellite broadcast parameters change. You need to scan the channels again, and your “First” will register with new data and start showing. The operator always warns about changes in the technical parameters of the channel via CMS.

The following possible situation. Automatically, when searching for TV channels, everything that is on the satellite is registered, including channels from additional packages. And you need to pay extra money for them in order for them to start showing. Check by the name of the TV channel which package it is included in. Maybe he shouldn't show it to you.

If it is from the package you paid for, and its broadcast parameters remain the same, call technical support, or take the necessary steps to restore its functionality through your personal account.

The telecard does not show what to do in the rain

The telecard does not show in the rain, or if it is winter, then in the snow. What to do, what is the reason?

We are talking not about a wall of rain, and not about a snow hurricane, but about ordinary light rain (ordinary snowfall).

There may be two reasons:

— small size of the antenna mirror (the antenna diameter is less than that recommended by the operator) What size of the dish should be in your case, look at;

We call an adjuster or try to raise the signal ourselves. How? Carefully read the article about setting up a satellite dish yourself. I already published the link in the article above.

PS Rarely, but it happens, the problem that the Telecard does not show in the rain may be in the converter (gun) or in the receiver itself. Can only be checked by replacement.

What to do if a message appears that the channel is blocked on Tricolor TV

Regardless of the services of which satellite television operator a person uses, situations often occur when, despite the paid content, problems arise with the signal - it simply disappears. What to do in this case is not difficult to understand, but it is important that instructions are used specifically for a specific operator. Of course, companies work on similar principles, and the reasons why a channel does not show or all channels are almost always identical, therefore they can be solved using the same scenario. Problems with the signal are rather rare there, although satellite equipment, to be honest, is not the most powerful among its analogues. However, even this fact can be corrected with a larger satellite dish.

If the TV “does not see” the CAM module, it means you inserted it. Video settings of the CAM module Tricolor, NTV+, Telekarta, Raduga.

Meaning of scrambled channel?

A scrambled channel is an error name that contains information about the error, including why it happened, what system component or application failed to cause the error along with some other information. The numeric code in the error name contains data that can be decrypted by the manufacturer of the faulty component or application. An error using this code can occur in many different places within the system, so even though it contains some data in its name, it is still difficult for the user to determine and correct the cause of the error without much technical knowledge or appropriate software.

Telecard doesn't work

The receiver does not respond to the remote control or the buttons located on the body (if your model has them). Nothing happens, no lights are on.

Most likely, the power supply has died. Here you can only repair or buy a new receiver.

If the warranty has already expired, you can unscrew the case and check the terminals for connecting the power supply. I personally know cases when contacts simply went away.

And at the end of the article - Telecard - what to do when the channels are not shown? — watch the video from the operator “Telecard Guide No. 2: If the channels are not shown.”

“Telekarta” is the best satellite television; after connecting, you will enjoy the quality and number of channels for many years to come. But there comes a time when it’s time to update your channel list, and various questions arise.

How to update Telecard channels? You can do this yourself. To update, you need to reset the receiver to factory settings. This will update it and start scanning channels. Unfortunately, everyone’s equipment is different, and upgrading must be approached individually. Let's look at how to update channels on Telecard.

How to update channels on Telecard?

Firmware via cable

[adace-ad id=»5222″]
The main problem with the Globo X80 is related to the firmware. It often happens when the receiver freezes and does not respond to anything, it does not turn on from the remote control, and juggling the power socket does not help. In most cases, firmware helps. To connect to a PC you will need an RS-232 to USB cable. You can buy it in stores that sell phones, digital equipment, etc.

The RS-232 interface (aka 9-pin COM) is located on the rear panel of the set-top box

Step-by-step firmware process

1) Download the bootloader - Upgrade Tool

2) Unpack the archive, run the file upgrade.exe

3) Select the desired port to which the receiver will be connected. By default it is already there. Those. Leave all the settings in the window as they are (Operation mode - UPGRADE)

4) Connect the receiver to the PC, but do not turn it on(!).

5) Press the Connect button and only now plug the receiver into the outlet

6) In the next window, select All Chunk and select the firmware file (a check mark will appear next).

7) Next comes the firmware process. Click Finish at the end

8) Reboot the receiver using power (from the outlet)

9) Reset the receiver to factory settings

Download firmware

It is better to use a dump to flash the receiver firmware. A dump is a complete copy taken from a working receiver, which contains all the necessary software, as well as channels, BISS keys, settings, etc. Those. This is a full-fledged “firmware”, after which your receiver will work immediately. There is an option to install “bare” firmware, but then the list of channels and keys will have to be configured separately

(for satellites - Amos 2/3 4.0°W, Astra 4A 4.8°E, Hot Bird 13 B/C/E, 13.0°E, ABS 2, 75.0°E)

(for satellites 4W-5E-13E-75E)

(Software version 1.3.70C, for satellites 4-4,8-13)

Clarification: The name of the satellite in the firmware is not critical at all. You can rename any one or add a new one that you specifically need in your location (see section Manually searching for a satellite). But this is provided that the dish is aimed at the satellite you need.

“Connect failed” during the firmware process

If such an error occurs at the beginning, check whether the firmware file is in the same folder as the bootloader - it probably cannot find the firmware. Also check whether the COM port is specified correctly in the Upgrade Tool window:

If such an error appears during the process, it may be due to swollen 5V electrolytes in the power supply (check the voltage from the power supply to the board - it should be 3.3-3.4V)
