Auto adjustment
DXP produces many different TV models, so installations may vary. At the moment, the most popular are, of course, TVs that support Smart TV. Which run on Android TV OS. Also recently, models with Yandex TV have been gaining popularity. Read more in a separate article about setting up Yandex TV.
On our website there are many different settings for different brands, which are also suitable for budget TV Desktop. Therefore, today we will look at the basic methods of searching for channels on Dexp Smart TV, since most problems arise with these TVs.
- We connect the UHF antenna to the TV socket.
- Next, take the remote control and press the menu button.
- Next, look for the Channel section and click on OK
- We set the antenna (tuner) type to DVB-T2, using the left and right keys. There are three types available: DVB-C cable, DVB-T/T2 terrestrial, DVB-S satellite.
- We select DTV channel format; if you need local channels, then select both DTV and ATV analogue options.
- We select Russia from the proposed list for residents of the Russian Federation. Previously, it was recommended to choose Finland or Germany.
- We start the search and wait for the scanning to finish. After completing the DTV search, the search for ATV channels will begin, so when the TV shows a message that the auto search for channels is complete.
We connect the indoor antenna correctly. Since very often, due to an incorrectly selected and connected antenna, you may experience problems when watching TV channels.
Tuning channels on your DEXP TV in automatic mode
To configure digital television on modern DXP receivers, we recommend using automatic mode. The user action algorithm is as follows:
- Connect the antenna to a special input on the TV. The connector is on the rear panel.
- Press the “Source” key on the remote control.
- A table will appear on the screen with a list of available functions. In the “Country” section indicate “Russia”. Move through the list using the up and down buttons.
- O (DTV). Save changes with the “OK” key.
- On the remote control go to the Menu section. Select the “Channels” option.
- Turn on "Autosearch". The procedure takes from 5 to 15 minutes, during which the device will scan available frequencies and display the data on the screen.
If the receiver does not have a built-in tuner, then to view it you will need a receiver with DVB-T2 support. For older TVs, the sequence of actions is as follows:
- Connect the set-top box to the TV using a tulip or HDMI cable.
- The receiver is switched to video mode.
- Open the “Menu” on the remote control.
- In the “Country” field, mark the desired country.
- In the list of standards, choose DVB-T2.
- Go down to the “Automatic search” option.
On older models, scanning takes from 10 to 20 minutes. During the procedure, we do not recommend touching the control panel keys or trying to stop the process. After completion, a list of available digital services (television, radio) will appear on the TV Dexp screen.
Setting up Cable Programs
To watch Cable digital television, your television receiver must support the DVB-C broadcast standard. It is also necessary to conclude an agreement with the service provider company. Get a smart card if the broadcast is encrypted, only after that we search for programs. Check your DEXP TV for digital reception and the presence of a CI slot into which the CAM module will be inserted. Check with your provider for details, as many broadcast in the public domain and no cards are needed.
Let's move on to setup.
The provider usually broadcasts more than a hundred TV channels of different topics, so it is better to use Auto-Tuning, so the TV itself will find all the TV channels of this network.
Before setting up, select the desired signal source by clicking the Source button in the list provided and select the TV output we need. In our case, Cable DTV.
- We connect the provider cable to the TV socket.
- Using the remote control we go to the menu.
- We go to the section where the settings for configuring programs are located, usually this is the CHANNEL section.
- The next step is to select Tuner Type Cable DVB-C.
- Network settings, it is better to select Full search. If you know the parameters, enter the initial frequency, modulation and symbol rate, thereby selecting Network or Quick Search.
- The type of channels is, of course, DTV, why do you need an analogue, but if you need it, then choose both options.
- Start searching for channels and wait a few minutes.
If your TV does not support digital
In the absence of the necessary DTV-2 standard, the easiest and most inexpensive way to solve this problem is to purchase a digital set-top box. Its other names are tuner or receiver. Buying a new TV will also solve the problem.
Purchasing a set-top box will cost much less than a new TV. In addition, many pay TV providers provide such devices for rent. With the help of a set-top box, even the oldest TV will be able to receive a digital signal.
Reference. The figure is supported by most models released after 2005. New generation TVs all support this standard, without exception.
Manual setting
This method of setting up TV channels is usually used when Auto Search did not help or you need to find a small part of new programs. Using Manual Search on your DEXP Smart TV is very easy. However, you need to know some parameters. For DTTV it is necessary to know the frequencies of multiplexes. You can find them out by using the RTRS interactive map by selecting your locality. For Cable you need to know the frequencies, modulation and symbol rate of the telecom operator. For Satellite TV, you need to find out the frequency and other parameters of the satellite. It’s easy to find out by visiting the operator’s website; there aren’t many of them. In Russia these are Tricolor, MTS TV, TELEKARTA, NTV+.
- Go to the settings menu.
- Next, go to the CHANNEL section.
- Be sure to select the tuner type “Ether” if you watch channels through an antenna.
- Select Manual DTV setup.
- Enter the serial number of the multiplex frequency; see how to find out this number above.
- We pay attention to the strength and quality of the signal, the higher it is, the better.
- Save the found software package.
If you have problems broadcasting on your DEXP TV, the channels will start to freeze, the picture will crumble, the sound will be interrupted, a bad message will appear or there will be no signal. Then check the signal quality through the Signal Information option or through this mode.
Checking digital broadcast support
You can find out whether your device supports this type of broadcasting on smotritsifru.rf - the official website of digital terrestrial television in the “Everything for reception” section. To do this, you need to select the Dexp manufacturer from the list, then specify the TV model.
This information can also be found in the documentation and on the device box. If it says that there is support for the DTV-T2 standard, then your TV accepts digital.
A visual inspection of the equipment can also answer this question. If there is an input jack on the back or side of the TV marked Digital input, or simply T2, then everything is fine.
Sorting
After scanning, you can use the program editor. Thus, delete unnecessary ones and assign a new serial number for your favorite TV channel on DEXP Smart TV.
After scanning, you must turn off the LCN option in order to use the ability to change the list of TV channels. And very often, because of this option, programs start not with 1 button, but with 800. Therefore, turn it off.
- We go to the list through the menu.
- Select the desired program by checking the box next to it.
- Next, use the colored buttons to select further actions.
- The red button always removes from the list of configured TV and radio channels.
- The yellow button moves to another position in the list.
- The green button allows you to change the name. There is no point in changing the names.
- Blue misses.
- Also, sometimes there is a button that blocks a child from unwanted viewing of adult channels.
On different Dexp TVs, the buttons may have different actions. Therefore, look at what function it performs, everything must be signed.
How to manually tune channels on a DEXP TV
Automatic search does not always give positive results. Often, instead of the declared channels, the DXP receiver finds half or only radio stations. To set up all the multiplexes on your TV, you need to carry out the procedure correctly.
Cable channels
Broadcasting is available to residents of multi-storey buildings. The signal is supplied to the user's apartment via a fiber optic cable or using a telephone cord connected to a decoder. The channel setup algorithm is as follows:
- Connect the wire to the antenna connector on the DEXP TV. The element is located on the back panel of the equipment.
- Using the remote control, open the menu.
- Scroll through the list of options to “Channels”. To move, use the up and down keys (arrow keys).
- Switch to manual search mode. In the “Antenna” item, move to the menu with the value “Cable”.
- Scan parameters are entered manually. The information is on the provider’s website or in the annex to the contract. We recommend that you check the details by calling the service provider’s hotline.
- Press the “Start” button.
The search process takes 5-10 minutes. During the procedure, do not stop scanning or turn off the DXP TV. Found channels are automatically saved in the receiver's memory. Manual configuration can be continued until the stations declared by the provider are fully detected.
On-air channels
Setting up digital broadcasting according to the DVB-T2 standard will help you get free channels in high quality. To catch broadcast stations, you need to follow the algorithm:
- The main menu is opened on the control panel.
- Scroll to the “Channels” section. Use the arrow buttons to navigate.
- Move to the manual search tab.
- Enter parameters into the fields.
- To scan, press the “Start” button on the remote control.
The process takes 5 minutes, and the available channels will be automatically saved in the memory of the Dexp TV. We recommend checking the frequency and number for multiplexes using the interactive map of CETV. A convenient service allows you to find out the distance to the nearest tower and the operating status of the repeater. When changes occur, the information is instantly displayed.
Satellite channels
To set up broadcasting via satellite, the user will have to spend more time than when working with cable or terrestrial TV. The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- Connect the antenna to the DEXP TV. Carefully insert the plug into the connector on the rear panel of the receiver.
- Press the “Menu” button on the control panel.
- In the settings window that opens, go to the “Channels” tab.
- Change the mode to “Satellite”. Check the manual search option.
- Set up signal reception. Enter the data received from the service provider. We recommend paying attention to the LNB power supply, DiSeqC mode, upper and lower LNB.
- Mark manual configuration, indicate frequency information. Navigate through the menu using the up and down arrow buttons.
- Start the search.
The scanning process takes from 7 to 10 minutes. The more channels the provider has, the longer the procedure takes. If the Dexp TV does not find a station, then review the settings. When entering manually, errors often creep in. We recommend double-checking the data on the service provider’s website or calling the hotline specified in the contract.
Other settings
Image . With your DEXP TV you can easily adjust your images. There are image modes already set with parameters: Soft, Lively, Dynamic, Standard. Changing image parameters such as brightness can only be done in Custom mode.
Sound . The TV already has preset sound settings in modes such as Standard, Music, Movie, Sports. In Custom, you can change the settings to your liking.
Time and date . Don't forget to set the correct values or enable automatic time detection.
Channel list management
Found stations can be renamed, assigned a number on the remote control, or deleted. The user action algorithm is as follows:
- The list of digital channels is navigated using the up and down buttons on the remote control.
- To sort stations use the red key on the remote control. The active element turns yellow. Manually move the item to the selected position.
- To rename a station, use the green button. Scroll through the list to the desired position, click and change the name.
- The red key will help you delete a duplicate channel. They go down (ascend) to the desired element, mark it and remove it from the list.
Errors when setting up television
During setup, various errors may occur - the device does not pick up TV channels, finds only part of them, does not see the remote control, etc.
If the TV is working properly, then the reason must be sought in incorrect user actions or in inappropriate equipment. You need to find the problem and fix it.
TV does not find 20 free TV channels
There could be several reasons:
- First of all, you need to check whether the TV supports the DVB-T2 standard. If not, purchase a console.
- If the TV supports channels, but does not find them, you need to go to the menu and set the channel frequency manually. Sometimes channels that were not found during auto-search appear without problems during manual tuning.
- It is also necessary to check the operation of the antenna, its direction towards the tower and weather conditions.
Can't select display mode
DEXP brand TVs offer several display modes . Which one to choose depends on the TV broadcasting standard that the user needs:
- To watch digital channels, select DTV.
- For analog - ATV.
- If the user connects a set-top box, then the AV mode is needed.
- If a set-top box or some other device is connected via an HDMI cable, then you need to select the HDMI mode.
- To use TV as a monitor, PC mode is required.
Poor image quality
In this case, the action algorithm is as follows: check the operation of the antenna, as well as the integrity and operation of the cables that connect the antenna to the TV. In this case, the signal will not be able to arrive normally, and there will be constant interference.
ohdpluginlibrary application error
This message appears in modern DEXP models when the software fails. Algorithm for solving the issue :
- Reset everything to factory settings.
- Install a new version of the software.
When resetting the settings to factory settings, be sure to click confirmation of your intention.
The remote control does not respond / the button does not work
This is the easiest of the problems. Most likely the batteries in the remote control need to be replaced. In the most extreme situations, the remote control itself may need to be replaced if the internal mechanisms are broken. It is worth noting that buyers and users of some DEXP models initially complain about the heavy pressing of the buttons on the remote control .
DEXP brand TVs are easily tuned to a wide variety of broadcast types. Modern and outdated models of this manufacturer can also be configured to receive digital broadcasts. If the model itself does not support such a standard, then you will have to buy a set-top box. You must first acquire a decimeter antenna. Everything else is simple and according to the instructions:
- channels can be found using auto search;
- enter manually.
With the latter option, you need to find out the frequency of multiplexes for a specific region.
Setting up DEXP Smart TV
To start setting up, check whether your television receiver supports the DVB-T2 digital broadcast format if you need to install twenty free digital channels. DEXP TVs are divided into three types
- For those that do not support digital, you need to purchase a digital set-top box.
- For digital TVs but without the Smart TV function.
- On Smart TVs, the channel settings on this model are slightly different.
There are also options for adjusting Image, Sound, System where you can set your time and update the software.
IPTV
To watch interactive television you will need to install a special player. There are a variety of free IPTV applications on the Internet. By downloading via Wi-Fi and installing it directly on your device, you can watch your favorite TV shows comfortably and with various additional options (not just viewing becomes available - you can stop the program at the moment of interest, and also read information about it). Now developers are presenting players for different operating systems.
Another possibility is to connect several devices to digital television using a LAN cable.
When is an antenna or attachment needed?
A set-top box is necessary if the desired TV standard is not supported . But it is also important to understand television reception through an antenna.
To receive a digital signal, a decimeter antenna is required. It should be located outside and directed towards the broadcast tower.
You also need to purchase a cable for the antenna. If, in addition to digital, the user still has analog TV (it remains for those channels that have not been converted to digital), then an all-wave antenna will be needed.
Possible problems and their solutions
The H32 model range is characterized by problems with displaying TV signals; the TV does not find them and does not display the entire list. These problems are observed in h32d8000q, h32d7200c, f43b8000k, f24d7200e. This is caused by an insufficient signal sent to the repeater. The solution to the problem is to install additional equipment in the form of an amplifier or reconfigure the TV.
Why IPTV Player does not show on computer and TV: reasons, what to do?
A weak signal indicates a system conflict between the antenna and TV; the accessory may not fit the parameters. This can be solved by purchasing a new antenna or an additional tuner.
Automatic search for digital channels
First of all, you need to try turning on automatic channel search, and if there are no connection problems and the signal level is high, the TV will detect about 20 main digital channels. Using the remote control, go to the “” item of the DEXP TV, select AUTO SEARCH, press the “enter” button and select “DTV”.
The search procedure usually lasts about 20 minutes, showing the number of channels found. After the search ends, a window with the result of the work will be displayed, if everything went well and the channels were found, close the window and enjoy watching, but if the channels were not found or some kind of failure occurred, you should use a manual search.
Checking DVB-T2 on the device
Before you try to set up digital broadcasting, you need to make sure that this model can connect to this standard.
- The first way to check is to go to the manufacturer’s website and enter the model of your TV.
- Also, the TV model can be found not only on the manufacturer’s website, but also in Yandex Market. To do this you need:
- Go to the store's main page.
- Enter your TV model in the search.
- On the product page, go to the “Signal Reception” section.
- If opposite the DVB-T2 standard. If it says “Yes”, you can safely start setting up the number. If not, you will have to purchase an adapter.
- If you have an instruction manual on hand, then just open it and carefully look to see if the technical specifications include the DVB-T2 standard.
Old and new Dexp
Modern models of Dexp TVs have support for the digital standard from the manufacturer. They are much easier to set up because the specifications include a built-in digital tuner.
Models that were manufactured before 2013 are technically considered outdated and to broadcast the digital standard on them you will have to purchase an appropriate set-top box. It costs from 900 rubles and is sold in household appliances, electronics stores and Russian post offices.
