The satellite television operator MTS appeared relatively recently, but already has an impressive range of packages with TV channels in its arsenal. MTS TV offers its subscribers to connect to any package of their choice from 4 main and 7 additional. The packages include a large number of all-Russian, entertainment, film, sports, adult and other TV channels.
Super promotion from MTS for those who have several TVs in the house - “Multiroom for 70 rubles”! Now you don’t need to connect a separate tariff for each TV! That is, if you have 2 or 3 TVs connected, then for one of them you pay the full subscription fee, for the second and (if there is one) the third - 70 rubles/month for each. For more information about the new service and the necessary equipment, please contact our specialists by phone.
How to receive a signal from a satellite?
To watch programs from the Dom TV channel, you must have a satellite dish configured to receive a signal from the Astra 4A spacecraft in an orbital position of 4.8 degrees east longitude.
Then, using a satellite receiver, scan the transponder from which the channel’s programs are broadcast.
Technical parameters of broadcasting: Satellite Astra-4A (4.8 degrees east) Frequency – 12,130 MHz Symbol rate – 27,500 Mbit/s Polarization – vertical (V) FEC – 3/4 Modulation – DVB-S/QPSK /MPEG-2
Selecting equipment for receiving satellite television
The antenna is designed to receive a relayed signal from a special MTS satellite. Depending on the purpose, different types of plates are used:
- Offset equipment is most often used. The main advantage of the equipment is the irradiator; the mounting parts do not block the orientation to the satellite and do not create a shadow on the mirror. This increases the utilization rate of the usable area of the plate. The signal is received from only one satellite.
- A toroidal dish is used in cases where simultaneous reception of signals from several repeaters is necessary. It can install up to 16 convectors. There is no turning motor here. The dish is characterized by an increased speed of switching channels received from different satellites.
- The size of a suitable MTS TV antenna depends on the strength of the satellite signal in a given region:
- The 0.6m diameter is suitable for most areas where the signal is clear.
- A dish with a diameter of 0.8 m is used in areas of uncertain signal reception (Kaliningrad region).
- An increased size (0.9 m) of the antenna is required for the Leningrad, Amur, Vologda and some other regions of the Russian Federation.
In Chukotka and the Kamchatka Territory, satellite TV from MTS is temporarily unavailable. Our company managers will provide more accurate information about coverage areas.
When connecting several TVs, it is enough to install one dish. But each device requires a separate set-top box.
How else can you watch the “Home” channel?
In addition to broadcasting from satellite, the Dom TV channel can be watched on analogue and digital air in the territory of Donbass and Crimea.
According to Yulia Ostrovskaya, general director of the state enterprise Multimedia Platform for Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine, which includes Dom, today there are five television transmitters broadcasting to the Luhansk region, seven to the Donetsk region, and six to the Crimea. There are 18 of them in total.

Yulia Ostrovskaya also reported that you can watch “Home” on the channel’s website online. Subscribers of some cable networks in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions also have access to the channel.
“All these broadcasting methods are needed in order to deliver the “Home” signal to the occupied territories, because this is the main task of the TV channel,” explains the general director of the Multimedia Platform for Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine.
