If you have a laptop or your computer does not have an RS-232 connector, you can buy an adapter cable from USB to COM port and connect the receiver to the USB port of your laptop or computer. Download the flasher program and the firmware itself, they can be downloaded on the manufacturer’s website, or on my blog on the “” page.

After downloading, unpack and install the DRE Burner flasher on your computer. Turn off the power to the receiver (from the outlet, or the button on the rear panel) and connect the computer and receiver with a null modem cable. The RS-232 port is also located on the rear panel of the receiver; on a computer it is located at the rear of the system unit, where the motherboard connectors are located.

After the receiver and PC are connected, run the previously installed DRE Burner firmware program on the computer. You should see the following window:

Now the flasher needs to indicate where the firmware file is located, to do this, click “Open File” and indicate the path to the place where it is stored on your disk:

After the path is specified and the program has found the firmware, click on the “Upload” button and then turn on the power of the receiver.

After turning on the power, the firmware will begin automatically, you can observe its process in the flasher window and on the receiver indicator, which is located on the front panel. Now you just need to wait for the firmware process to finish.

Attention!!! Do not under any circumstances turn off the power to the receiver while flashing the firmware, this will lead to failure of the receiver and will require a lot of effort to restore it!

You can update the receiver software in two ways:

Using a flash drive
