Installing the CAM module

CI connectors on TVs from different manufacturers may differ from the connectors shown in the photographs below. Read the instructions for using your TV before you begin installing the CAM module.

1. Disconnect your TV from the power supply.

IMPORTANT: Installation and removal of the CAM module and access card is carried out only when is turned off .

2. Carefully insert the CAM module.

First, you need to install a CAM module into the TV and only then insert an access card into the module. The module should be inserted into the TV connector without significant effort.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the CAM module is completely installed in the module receiver.

3. Insert the AKADO access card into the CAM module.

The access card is installed in the CAM module so that its side with the chip faces the AKADO CAM module with a red sticker.

IMPORTANT: Placing an access card in the CAM module is only possible when the CAM module is fully installed in the TV, otherwise it may be difficult to install the AKADO access card into the connector of your TV.

The edges of a correctly installed access card should not extend beyond the CAM module.

4. Connect your TV to the network.

After turning on (provided the CAM module is installed correctly), information about the presence of a CAM module will be displayed on the screen of your TV. The type and content of the information message depends on the TV model.

Setting the time on your TV

In cases where the CAM module freezes at the third step when setting up channels and displays a message that “this transmission is encrypted,” it is necessary to disable the automatic time display in the TV receiver settings and set the time manually.

Perhaps this nuance is due to the fact that the CAM module cannot recognize the automatic date format and, as a result, synchronize with the station.
