However, older models are equipped with a special button, which is labeled “AV”; you just need to press it. This is very convenient if a tuner or media player is connected to the TV.
Modern TV models from Samsung, Panasonic, Philips are equipped with a manual control panel that visually resembles a gaming joystick.

1) Switch the remote control to reset mode

Canceling reset mode
Deleting settings can be canceled by holding down the 'SELECT' key for more than 2 seconds. The remote control will switch back to TV mode.

- After changing the batteries, all settings will be saved
- If there is no operation for a minute (60 s), the reading mode will be canceled and the remote control will switch to the previous mode

If you forgot your unlock password
Typically, TVs have a standard password installed, then remembering it will not be a problem, since it consists of the combination “0000”, and if this combination does not work, then you can use another standard set of characters “1234”. But since the device can be hacked, many users change the factory settings for their own security. But due to imprudence, they do not save the innovations and forget what password was set.
If the user has forgotten his new password, the solution may be to reset to factory settings. Depending on the TV model, the following instructions are used:
Open the “Settings” menu, enter the “Security” subsection, select “Reset PIN code”.
Enter the wrong password, but do not click “OK”.
Press the sequence of buttons designed to switch channels: “up-up-down-up”, then enter code 0313 and confirm the action.
On most TVs, including models from Philips, such manipulations will lead to the restoration of the standard password. Then, to remove the lock, you need to go to the “Parental Control Code” and enter a password consisting of a standard combination.

Why doesn't it find any channels?
Let's look at the main problems that may arise when searching and setting up channels:
- The first thing to do is check the signal quality. On the remote control, press the [Home] button and select the [Status] section. In order to find all channels, the signal strength must be more than 80%.
- The next step is to check the frequency and network ID. It happens that the TV requests information about [Network frequency] and [Network ID]. You can obtain these values from your provider.
- Go to [Menu] - [Channel setup], and set the status to [On] in the [Digital channel] section.
- Try also changing the frequency scanning step. To do this, before searching, instead of [Start], click [Settings] - [Frequency scanning step]. For a slower but more accurate search, set the value to 1 MHz.
- If none of the above works, you need to reset the tuner to factory settings. Leave only the power cord from the TV in the outlet; all other cords must be disconnected.
- Turn on the TV and search for channels without cables connected (the CAM module also needs to be pulled out).
- Next, turn off the TV completely, and connect the antenna and all other cords.
- Search for channels again.
