Connecting a mini PC to a TV can have several purposes, from turning a regular TV into a Smart TV, watching multimedia content from paid platforms such as Netflix, or to see our own multimedia content. But it can also be used to stream games from your home computer and much more, so we'll try to cover all possible options in this list. With that said, let's go there.

Intel NUC 8I3CYSM2
This mini PC was originally a barebones kit with no RAM or storage, but in this case it's off-the-shelf hardware, already pre-configured. It has an Intel Core i3-8121U processor, 8 GB DDR4 RAM in SO-DIMM format and a 1 TB hard drive (supports installation of an optional M.2 SSD). It includes Wi-Fi AC and Bluetooth, and it already comes with Windows 10 operating system installed.
Of course, this mini PC can be connected to a TV via HDMI and we can do with it everything that the Windows 10 operating system allows, without restrictions.
Connection and setup
Before use, it is better to do a complete reset of the console settings
After this, you need to connect the set-top box to the TV. This could be an HDMI, VGA, AV connection, depending on what ports are available. Now you need to provide Internet access. For a wireless connection, you need a router. It is advisable to place the receiver as close to it as possible, since the adapter is not very powerful. With a wired connection, you can connect either directly or through a router. After turning it on, you will need to go to the receiver settings and, if necessary, change the language. Then you need to check for the update.
It can be either in the general settings or placed separately depending on the model. You need to update to the latest version. Most likely, you will have to register for further use. If you have an Android set-top box, you will need a Google account. After this, you should install the browser and other applications you need. The smart set-top box does not have installed channels, so you will need to install the appropriate programs. For example, LOL TV contains a list of channels, and HD Video Box displays different categories of video content: movies, TV series, TV shows, etc.
HP Pavilion Wave 600
This is the version for most gourmets. This sleek mini PC looks like a vase (perhaps) and has an Intel Core i5-6400T processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. It has Intel HD 530 graphics, WiFi, Bluetooth and Windows 10 installed from the factory. Its dimensions are 173 x 168 x 259 mm and its weight is only 2.1 kg.
TANIX TX9S
The well-known TV box TANIX TX9S is a constant participant in the latest tops. The set-top box is powered by a powerful eight-core Amlogic S912 and is a stripped-down version of the previous Tanix model. The device has a reduced memory capacity and uses a slower WiFi module. However, the use of the recent top-end S912 processor makes it very attractive, and given its price - $35 - it is practically unmatched. Judge for yourself, for this money you will get an eight-core processor, 1000 Mbps LAN , multi-channel audio output including True HD, dolbi hi ress and, not unimportantly, a huge number of excellent firmware and modifications, including with the Android TV .
