How to decipher the code
The marking contains various information about the device itself. Which one can be determined using the example of the Samsung LE-40B530 P7W LCD TV.
- The panel code begins with the type designation: L – LCD, P – plasma, C – CRT (CRT), U – LED panel with Ultra HD, E – OLED.
- The following letter corresponds to the region of sales (distribution of these devices): E – Europe, N – North America, A – Asia.
- The field contains two numbers; they indicate the screen size in inches, for example, in the Samsung model written above - 40” (find out how to choose the optimal diagonal of your TV).
- The letter designation that is written after the screen size means the year of manufacture (sometimes it corresponds to the TV series), it is usually counted from 2008: A - 2008, B - 2009, and so on.
- The year of manufacture is followed by a number indicating the series number, then the subseries number, and then the model number (within the subseries).
As a rule, this is all the information that the Samsung TV model contains. The markings of other brands sometimes reflect the equipment and some technical features. Next, the nameplate indicates the country of origin, serial number, product type and code, hotline contact numbers, and barcode.
It is worth noting that the decoding of the code of another brand may differ; only the diagonal size remains unchanged - it is always indicated at the beginning of the model.
The manufacturer indicates information about the model in the nameplate, on the packaging, in the accompanying documentation, and also flashes it into the TV system. You can find the required information using any of the listed media.

LG TVs: 2013 lineup
In the spring of 2013, a presentation of new LG TVs took place in Russia, we talked about it.
Back then, all attention was focused on flagship devices, which, however, is not surprising - there are few places where you can look at an OLED panel showing a surprisingly high-contrast picture and having a thickness of only a few millimeters, or at a huge 84-inch 4k2k TV with a stunningly clear and expressive picture . Classification
All LG TV models belong to one of the lines: ninth, eighth, seventh, sixth and fifth. More line number -> cooler TV. It is very easy to find out which group a particular model belongs to - look at the model name. The first number is the desired model range. For example, LA960V belongs to the ninth series, and LA740V belongs to the less premium, seventh.
