The 5/1 acoustic system, which appeared in the early 90s, captivated movie lovers with surround sound, thanks to the subwoofer, which added reality to the sound and enhanced the effect of presence. Despite the fact that the sound characteristics and other acoustic parameters have changed greatly, the classic system for installing home theater elements has never undergone any changes. Therefore, it is possible to connect old equipment to a modern TV, which does not provide a wide range of frequencies, regardless of brand and cost.
Purpose and equipment of a home theater
A home theater is a whole set of equipment designed for high-quality video and sound transmission. Such a cinema hall allows you to organize a full-fledged entertainment area in your living space.
The main purpose of a cinema is to create and enhance the effect of presence for the viewer. The number of functions of the entire system is determined by its configuration and the capabilities of individual devices.

- acoustic system.
The system may also include power amplifiers and various stands (stands). All equipment is connected to each other using wires and cables. Acoustics are represented by speakers and a subwoofer.

How to connect Android to TV via USB
The most basic connection method, all you need is a USB output on the TV and, accordingly, a USB cable (the one you use to charge your smartphone).
- Connect your TV and phone using a USB cable.
- On an Android smartphone, in debugging you need to select “Connect as external storage”.
- In the menu of your TV (connected devices), find the content you want to view or listen to (music, photos, videos) from your Android device.

- projector with canvas screen;
- TV.

Connecting to TV speakers
You can increase the volume of music played from your phone through your TV speakers. If you know how to connect a smartphone to a music center, then this connection will not be difficult. For the TV you need a jack-2RCA cable (“tulip”). Connect the 3.5 end to your mobile phone (where the headphones are), the other to the TV, matching the plugs color to color with the existing connectors.
Select AV1 or AV2 mode on your TV and turn on music on your phone. You can adjust the sound volume on both devices.
Receiver functions and design
The AV receiver is the main connecting element of the system. All other equipment is connected to it. The receiver is used to set up and control the cinema.
In the complex of cinema hall equipment, the AV receiver performs a number of functions :
- transmits sound to the speaker system (to speakers with a subwoofer);
- converts digital signal to analog;
- acts as an amplifier of sound vibrations;
- reproduces sound in various formats.
A mandatory module of the receiver is a switch for digital and analogue audio and video signals. You can connect up to 10 different signal sources to the AV receiver. It is capable of processing and transmitting these streams of information.
The main structural elements of an AV receiver are DSP microprocessors. They decode incoming digital signals and convert them.
After processing, the received stream is fed to a multi-channel power amplifier. It usually consists of 5÷7 amplifiers made in one module. The amplification device increases the strength of the sound signal to the required level, which ensures high-quality sound from the acoustics.
