Automatic tuning of free channels on satellite

If you do not use the paid services of a satellite television operator, it is possible to watch freely available channels. In this case you should:

1. Connect the satellite receiver to the TV. The best way to do this is through the HDMI connector. If your TV already has a built-in DVB-S2 receiver, the satellite antenna cable is connected directly to the corresponding TV input.

2. Enter the TV settings by pressing the MENU button, select the “Channels” section and set “Satellite” as the signal source. Click OK.

3. Go to the “Satellite Settings” menu section and select the satellite you are using (Hot Bird, Astra, Amos, etc.). Click OK. This action is performed on the tab of each converter.

4. Enter the “Autosearch” section and start searching for available satellite channels and radio stations. In this case, you can check the “Skip encrypted channels” checkbox, if available. In this case, only free channels will be found.

For such a connection, you will need a CAM module with an access card purchased from a satellite television operator, for example, Tricolor, NTV, Viasat, etc.

1. Insert the CAM module into the PCMCIA slot of the receiver or TV. This should be done when the power to the TV or receiver is turned off. The access card itself is inserted with the chip facing up relative to the front side of the CAM module.

2. In the “Autosearch” menu, select the required satellite television operator. Click OK.
