How to set up a TNT channel
Fans of “House-2”, sitcoms and “Our Russia” can seriously spoil the nerves of themselves and those around them if the TNT channel suddenly stops working. Consequently, it wouldn’t hurt both them and their loved ones to learn how to tune into their favorite channel on their own.
Instructions
1. If you are a cable television subscriber, carefully read the instructions for setting up channels and return TNT to its rightful place in the broadcast network. You can configure TNT either mechanically or manually from the TV menu.
2. If all else fails, contact the service center for your cable network: it is possible that the reason for the disappearance of your favorite channel lies in a malfunction of the system or TV.
3. Call the service even if TNT, which until recently broadcast at its best, now persistently does not want to return to the air. A cable TV colleague will certainly check both the cable and the stability of the signal.
4. If you use an ordinary personal antenna that cannot convert a relatively weak TNT signal into a picture without interference, then most likely this is due to the distance of your antenna from the central television tower or to various kinds of obstacles along the way that interfere with the good passage of the signal ( say, with multi-storey buildings, etc.).
5. Try changing the antenna location and its direction. Due to the metamorphosis of the location, the antenna may begin to receive the reflected signal, which will improve its quality, and TNT will display absolutely decently.
6. If you are the owner of a satellite dish, look at its basic settings. It is absolutely possible that the deterioration in signal quality is due to the fact that the settings have simply gone wrong.
7. Compare the current indicators with the standard ones. Enter the “Installation” menu (enter code 0000), then LNB settings: satellite name, upper channel frequency, lower channel frequency. Compare the performance of the missing TNT channel and one of the existing channels. Record the data that determines the discrepancies between them, and later set the same settings on TNT as on the current channel.
8. Please note: occasionally technical problems occur not only among subscribers, but also among the TV channels themselves.
By far, not all owners of “advanced” and not so many models of televisions know that to set up channels it is not at all necessary to call a specialist and do not even try to solve this completely primitive task on their own. Meanwhile, there is nothing difficult in the process of setting up TV programs, of course, for those who are not too lazy to read the operating instructions. Let's get started?

Instructions
1. Connect the antenna, check for batteries in the remote control and turn on the TV.
2. Find a button on the remote control with the name “Menu” (, M - the names may differ for different models). If it doesn’t work, then carefully look at the instructions, there is always a drawing of the control panel, where the name of the entire key is written.
3. In the OSD menu that appears, locate and select (using the arrow keys) the “Settings” (Manual) item, after which several new options will appear on the screen: Mechanical and Manual settings.
4. If you are setting up TV channels for the first time, then select the “Mechanical setup” menu item. After this, scanning of each television band will begin and recording of detected programs into memory. Depending on their number, this procedure may take quite a long time - do not interrupt it, wait until it is finished.
5. Exit all menus and start watching TV. At this point, the operation of setting up TV channels can be considered complete. But what you got is not entirely comfortable: the channels are not recorded in memory in the same sequence as you are used to, some were recorded twice due to the reflected signal, and there are also empty positions. Therefore, we skip the fifth point and move on to the sixth.
6. Exit the mechanical setup menu and select the “Manual setup” menu item. In the submenu that appears again, you will only care about one item, “Edit”. Select this item. A table of configured channels will appear on the screen.
7. Use the arrow keys to select channels step by step (from the first to the last), see what TV program is configured on it and either remove the channel from the list (if it is secondary or empty), or move it to a position that is comfortable for you. Exit all menus. The setup is complete.

Fans of fun, sketch shows, sitcoms and, of course, House-2 cannot do without the TNT channel on their TV. For many, life stops if suddenly TNT is turned off or it works with interference. In order to insure yourself and your nerves, you need to know how to set up your favorite channel yourself.

1. If you are a cable television subscriber, then you need to carefully read the instructions, in which everything is written in detail, and following its prompts, set up the TNT channel either mechanically or manually. And if these options do not work, then the reason may lie in the receiver itself, so it’s best to call the dispatch service. They will either explain to you what to do, or send a technician to your home to sort out the problems.

3. If you have an individual antenna, but receives a weak TNT signal of low quality, then this is most likely due to the large distance between your antenna and the central television tower or due to various types of interference in the signal path.
4. In this case, try changing the antenna installation point and its direction. If you change its location, the antenna may begin to receive not a direct signal, but a reflected signal, one that will be of better quality, and you will have a wonderful TNT display.
5. If you have satellite TV, then look at the basic settings. It is possible that the channel is turned off or reception deteriorates due to the fact that the basic settings of the receiving dish have gone wrong.
6. Compare the indicators with the standard ones, which look like this: “Installation” menu (enter code 0000) -> LNB settings: name of your satellite, lower frequency, upper frequency. Compare these settings of the missing channel and one of the working ones. Write down where they differ, and then set the same settings on TNT as on the working channel.
7. It is possible that the channel stopped showing due to a software update. Then you just need to wait until the installation of the new software is completed and you will be able to enjoy your favorite channel again.
If your TV does not receive the TNT TV channel, this does not mean that in your area it does not broadcast on air or cable networks. It is possible that channel information is easily missing from the TV’s memory. After retuning it, you will probably be able to watch a dozen more channels, the possibility of which you did not even suspect.
Instructions
1. Make a request to @tnt-tv.ru to find out whether the TNT channel is broadcasting in your area at all and how (on-air, cable networks, or both).
2. Find in the instructions of your TV information on how to start mechanical channel tuning. Before doing this, connect the best antenna you have to the unit. If there is a community antenna, connect it.
3. After the mechanical setup is completed, look to see if TNT has emerged among the new channels. At the same time, check out what other new channels you can watch now.
4. Pick up the instructions again to learn how to manually distribute the found channels by number in an order that is comfortable for you. Carry out this operation.
5. If your TV has a manual frequency entry function, you can find out the broadcast frequency of the TNT TV channel in your region using the number indicated above, and then enter it manually.
6. TVs with smooth, drum or push-button tuning (not equipped with remote controls) can have two separate inputs for antennas of the MV and UHF ranges. If you are trying to tune in one of these bands and cannot detect a single channel, try connecting a second antenna (the range for which it is designed should correspond to the purpose of the socket) or, if the existing antenna is all-wave, switch it to another socket . To get rid of the need to frequently switch the antenna, use a special splitter. It must be prepared for connecting an all-wave antenna to a TV with two sockets.
7. If in your area the TNT TV channel broadcasts in the UHF range, and your TV is designed to receive only in the UHF range, install a UHF channel selector in it (if you don’t know how to do this, entrust this work to a specialist) or use a P-series set-top box SK-D.
8. If there is no terrestrial or cable broadcasting of the TNT channel in your area, use a satellite receiver connected to the Tricolor TV operator. The basic package, which, in addition to TNT, also includes the main federal television channels, as well as Karusel and Soyuz, is provided for an unlimited period of time without a subscription fee. Remember, however, that Tricolor TV has a license to broadcast only in Russia, and the use of receivers connected to this operator outside of Russia is illegal (although it is often practiced).
9. Finally, if none of the above reception methods suits you, find some of the TNT TV channel on its official portal on RuTube.

If you use cable television services via a dedicated line, no setup is required - just connect a set-top box to the TV. But in many homes, additional channels are supplied via a collective antenna cable. To be sure that they will all be received, you need to periodically retune the TV.
Instructions
1. Make sure that the cable of the collective antenna and not the indoor antenna is connected to the antenna input of the TV. If you need to receive some of the channels that are not on the cable network from an indoor antenna, connect them together through a splitter. If your TV does not have a combined VHF-UHF input or memory for a lot of channels, connect a VCR or DVD recorder with a tuner to it. If you know that some of the channels on the cable network are broadcast in digital format, but the TV is unable to receive them, connect an external digital tuner-decoder. Combine the antenna output of the VCR, recorder or tuner-decoder with the antenna input of the TV, even if they are already connected with low-frequency cables. Please note that each of these devices transmits a signal only when connected to the network (with rare exceptions). Carry out all switching with the equipment completely de-energized.
2. Take the TV remote control and press the key on it prepared for entering the menu. Find in it the item corresponding to auto-tuning with scanning. The location of this item depends on the unit model. If you have any difficulties, please refer to the instructions.
3. During auto-tuning, do not turn off the power to the unit. Wait for the procedure to complete. Later, if desired, sort the channels manually. The methods for performing this operation vary greatly from model to model, so if any difficulties arise, also refer to the instructions. If the TV has a digital tuner, perform an auto-search for analog and digital channels separately, switching the unit to the appropriate mode.
4. Now select on the TV the one of the AV inputs to which the VCR, DVD recorder or digital television tuner-decoder is connected. Turn on the corresponding device and perform its auto-tuning, and, if desired, manual sorting in the same way.
5. In large cities, repeat the procedure once every six months - this is the frequency with which the cable network traditionally changes its channel grid. When there are announcements at the entrance about the introduction of new channels into the cable network, conduct an auto search ahead of schedule.

If you are a Tricolor TV subscriber
In mid-February 2021, Tricolor TV officially switched to a new satellite. For this reason, satellite network subscribers may have problems with 2x2 reception. There are two ways to solve this problem.
Solution 1: Automatic configuration
Re-search channels. For this:
- In the menu, select “Search for Tricolor TV channels” and follow the prompts on the TV screen
- If this does not help and 2x2 does not return to its place, reset the receiver settings to factory settings and re-search again
Solution 2: Manual setup
Don’t trust automation and think that “if you want it done well, do it yourself”? Please. New channel frequency settings:
- frequency 12190Mhz
- flow rate 22500ks/s
- polarization left
If, instead of the usual 2x2, you see a splash screen asking you to update the channels, or you hear only sound, but do not see the image, the problem may lie in the transition of Tricolor TV from mpeg-2 to mpeg-4 format. To solve the problem, you should contact your local Tricolor TV office and change your receiver to a new one.
