Setting methods

The following buttons are used in the remote control setup procedure:

There are two ways to program the remote control:

• manually, when the code suitable for the TV model is entered using the buttons;
• automatically - when the auto search for a suitable code from the internal list embedded in the remote control is activated.

Important! During the code selection procedure, the TV must be working.

Types of Rostelecom controllers

The most common models of Rostelecom remote controls:

1. MAG 245 or MAG 250.
2. Rostelecom MAG-255 HD.
3. SML-282, 292 HD and SML-482.
4. RTSTBHD Standard.

Manual programming

1. Press two buttons on the remote control simultaneously for five seconds - [OK], [TV]. We wait until the button [TV] starts flashing red - this means that the remote control programming mode has turned on. If the LED does not blink, release the buttons and repeat the action.

2. We point the remote control towards the set-top box, enter the code (four digits) that we took from the list for your TV model (you can download the PDF file below). If the channels begin to switch while entering the code, it means the remote control has not turned on the programming mode, the first step should be repeated.

3. After entering the code, the [TV] will start flashing red again, which means the code is correct. If the LED does not blink but is constantly lit red, then the code was entered incorrectly. It’s not always possible to get to the right code the first time; sometimes you have to go through several combinations to link the remote control to the TV.

List of TV codes for Rostelecom remote control

This list contains all the available codes for the Rostelecom remote control that the developers included in it. If your TV model (for example, DNS, DEXP, Fusion TVs) is not there, then try auto-tuning. Perhaps a code from another TV will work.

Automatic setup

1. We switch the remote control to the setup (programming) mode using the [OK] , [TV] , simultaneously press and wait for the indicator signal (double flashing red).
2. Point the remote control towards the set-top box, dial 991 and hold down the [CH+] (change channels), wait until your TV turns off. After that, click [OK] to save the changes, while [TV] should blink twice red again. This is a signal that the remote control is configured and ready to work with your TV.

Remember! Channels on TV should remain in place when using [CH+] , otherwise we try first.

Be careful with the [CH+] , sometimes you need to hold it for a long time until the codes are processed. After turning off the TV, do not press this button again, otherwise the incorrect code will be saved and the procedure will have to be repeated again.
